It is commonly stated that the increased number of sanction bodies has diluted the appeal and standing of boxing, while I agree with this in reality there is only really 5 major organisations which stand out. These are the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO and the IBO.
While I appreciate the stides The Ring magazine has made in recent times and applaude there effort, are they not just copying the Policies set by the IBO previously?
With the computerised ratings, and the stance on contenders the IBO has displayed that they are willing to change the way in which the governing bodies perform within our sport.
When you look at some of the recent stats on the challengers for the "Big 4" belts you need to scratch your head and wonder how and sometimes why!
Given the principals which the IBO are trying to project I wish them continued success after all champions such as Lennox Lewis, Ricky Hatton, Klitschko cannot all be wrong.
Interested to hear the views of you guys out there and the Pres. on how to take the IBO forward, particularly here in the UK where the title has now almost been dismissed by the TV companies who control the purse strings, is this the same in any other countrys and how are the IBO perceived in the US/Mexico etc
Look forward to hearing from you all. |

I guess you can say that we are the different sanctioning body. We tell the truth about where our challengers are actually rated.
We are planning more marketing efforts, regional meetings, and better contact with the fighters, to show them that we have the only system that accurately reflects their abilities. We thank you for your continued support.
